Born in the United Kingdom to immigrant parents from Burgundy and Gascony, I was educated at the Lycée Français de Londres. My first bachelor’s degree in Physiology was from the University of Edinburgh. I also hold degrees in Psychology and Business. My career in the biotech and chemical ingredients industries stretched over many years in the UK, in Germany, and Singapore but mainly in the US. My employers were manufacturers of ingredients incorporated in the household and personal care consumer products. My expertise in strategic planning and international marketing ensured my steady progress.
I earned my CELTA (Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification in 2017 and have been teaching ESL since, both online and in person (most recently at Kaplan).
My interests range from Archeology & Architecture to Zoology and everything in between! I keep abreast of developments in Art, Medicine, Environmental Science, Sociology and Geopolitics.
My second career as a teacher and tutor gives me as much (perhaps more) satisfaction as my career in the corporate world. I am an affable and demanding tutor who gives 110% to his students.
